The Aotearoa Underglazes are small batch ceramic colours made by Clae in Ōtautahi. They are designed to reflect our own unique landscape with vibrant stable colours.
 
They come in 100ml glass jars which are wide enough to get your brush into for easy use. They give good colour coverage on both white and darker clay bodies. Firing is 1200 - 1260 deg C.
 
This colour is Rata #6, this bright vibrant shade of red takes its name from the southern Rata tree.  This is a warm  fire-engine red.
