Clae celebrates the connection to earth through creative practices.

We run a busy studio space in central ÅŒtautahi, Aotearoa where we create useful objects for you to use in your own studio. Our tools are made in house or with local artisans and are designed with the mind to be cherished in your own practice. We create bespoke colours that are inspired by our beautiful landscape and make locally sourced slip materials to imbue your own work with the stories of earth.
Our unique geological location provides the inspiration to embed our own local earth stories into the day to day ritual of creativity.

Working with earth from the ground to creative material is a slow journey that highlights the true elemental nature of resources that are used in the studio.
